1967 DATSUN Fairlady Roadster 1600 / Nicholas Mack
In-Progress-Project Car
I have a 1967.5 Datsun Roadster (Fairlady) 1600. It is a half-year which is the rarest of
the years and typically most sought after as it has many key features that are unique
to it. For example it has the flat dash and low windshield. However the half-year only
has 3 toggle switches on the dash (the 1966 and 1967 have 4 toggle switches). It also
has some great upgrades added as Datsun/Nissan was getting ready for the 1968
models. So the 67.5 also has the dual brake master cylinders along with flared out
fenders. So the 67.5 gets the best of both eras.
I have been restoring this for 3 years now and it has been an amazing adventure. I
have added many upgrades along with custom features all over. However, I don't
think most would notice the upgrades/custom touches as I tried making it subtle. I
have been working to make it a fun reliable car to enjoy that showcases the classic
look with a little more modern feel and reliability.
There is quite an extensive list of parts/work I've done (I'm also building a separate
wiring harness with added fuse block/fuse boxes/relays/grounds) so I will simplify the
list below to only big upgrades/changes. I also have my full story on a forum @
311s.org . My name on there is Mackn367. I also have a new Youtube channel with my
